ZSOLT HERNÁDI (Tarján, 1960) is chairman of MOL, the Hungarian Oil and Gas Group. He is an economist by profession, earning his degree at Budapest University of Economics in 1986. He started his professional career at Unicbank and then held various positions at the Commercial & Credit Bank between 1989 and 1994, becoming Deputy General Manager in 1992. He was CEO of the Hungarian Saving Cooperative Bank between 1994 and 2001. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Hungarian Banking Association between 1995 and 2001. He became a member of MOL Group’s Board of Directors in February 1999, and was elected Chairman of the Board in July 2000. He has been chairman of MOL Group since June 2001. He is also a member of the European Round Table of Industrialists. He is an Honorary Professor of Budapest Corvinus University, and in October 2010 received the Commander’s Cross with Star of the Republic of Hungary’s Order of Merit.
